Kara’s passion for all things beauty, particularly makeup and skincare, is what led her to pursue a career as an Esthetician, and in 2011, she began her studies at the Chrysm Institute of Esthetics in Virginia Beach. After successful completion of the professional esthetics program, she decided to continue her education through the master esthetics program, graduating at the top of her class.
Once licensed, she worked in a variety of settings from day spas and med spas to plastic and reconstructive surgery. Through her career as an Esthetician, she gained extensive knowledge and experience in treating different skin types and conditions. Additionally, she gained experience using a variety of laser and radio frequency devices.
In 2022, with over a decade of experience working in the industry already under her belt, she decided that becoming a Nurse would allow her to take her passion to the next level. She went on to study at the Sentara College of Health Sciences in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. It was through this training that she gained greater insights into skin health from a more holistic point of view and the physiological processes behind why our skin ages.
